The guys came to give me a estimate, they were very professional, and the estimate was reasonable, l think I will have them do the job l just want to get the final estimate first.
Matt was super nice and extremely knowledgeable about my questions regarding what we were wanting. Very down to earth and most importantly to us he was not pushy in selling us what we needed. He suggested what he felt would be sufficient for us in our needs. Could not ask for any better. We will be using Lake James for this project. Thank you Matt for being a great guy.
Matt Hodge came out and gave us a price on different wattage on their generators. He explained everything so well that we had no problem picking the right one for us. Extremely nice man and we felt right at home with him. Talking to him was like talking to a friend and we had never met before today.
You can not find a better company to do business with. They go way beyond taking care that you are taken care of. So pleased with the work they have done for us.

I would give 10 stars if I could. I had an emergency, having awakened to a burning smell in my home. Greg and Hunter came out and found the problem, which was with a ceiling light/fan, and fixed it. I was extraordinarily grateful that Kristen was able to coordinate a rapid response. Kudos to all at Lake James Electric for running a fine organization.
I called Lake James Electric; the very next day Neil was at my house to discuss my generator needs and had a quote for me that afternoon. His installation crew was on time, professional and did excellent work. Just a few weeks after installation, I needed the generator during the first snow storm of January. When the tree fell across the power line, the generator came to life and provided me with all the power I needed. I’m glad I called Lake James Electric, and I’ll call again when I need an electrician.

Lake James Electric installed our generac several years ago. They monitor its performance and come yearly to service it. I always get a reminder about the service, it is scheduled to fit our calendar and I get a message that shows me the technician and tells me the time of arrival. The technicians have always friendly and knowledgeable. I have nothing but the highes praise for everyone I have worked with at Lake James Electric and highly recommend them if you need a generator installed or serviced.

Lake James Electric did a wonderful job installing can lights and outlets in our kitchen renovation. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with everything. I have purchased two separate Cummins home standby generators from Lake James. They work really well and I have been pleased. They were very knowledgeable and easy to contact throughout the process. I also had a separate unrelated electrical issue that I thought might be an emergency. They had someone at my house within an hour and had me fixed the same day. I highly recommend them.

Were timely and professional. Did a good job. Extremely expensive though. Serviced a generator by changing oil, filter and spark plug. They were here for 45 minutes. $650. That seems outrageous.

Yesterday we had a GENERAC installed at our home. The 2 guys Chris and Hunter were the best. Soon as they arrrived they went to work in the blazing hot sun, did not hear them complain one word. The crew were very skilled, knowledgable and efficient and took great pains to protect the floor and furniture from the drywall dust created by the large number of holes they had to cut in our ceiling. They also did such a clean job of cutting the holes that I should have no problems using the cut pieces to repair the holes. As always, if anyone in our neighborhood are in need of electrical work or generator servicing we would highly recommend Lake James Electric.

Always responsive to our needs! Today Chris adjusted the lo gas flow and our generator is running much smoother, tested for functions of generator and transfer switches and was all good! From the office staff(Danielle), the technicians(Chris and Hunter) to the owners (Neil and Kristen and the company mascot Graham) they are allgenuinely concerned with the equipment issues but very professional, friendly, and courteous. I have had a Generac standby generator for approximately 16 years. It worked well until recently it began to give trouble. Neil Farris of Lake James Electric came and spent many hours working on the generator, often on the phone with Generac Tech Support, all to no avail. Multiple parts were replaced. It soon became obvious that the generator was unreliable and needed to be replaced. I ordered a new Cummins standby generator through Lake James Electric and they installed the new generator on 6/1/2021. All work was done swiftly and professionally with only a short disruption of power to the house. Neil Farris has personally made multiple trips to my house both trying to repair the old generator and make arrangement to install the new generator. I would certainly highly recommend consideration of Lake Jame Electric, LLC and Neil Farris for any work requiring an electrician. John Spiggle, M.D.
We highly recommend Lake James Electric. They installed the generator in our home and were professional, efficient and kind. They took care of all paperwork and kept us updated throughout the process. We look forward to calling on them again when we have solar installed.
